Tarleton Women’s Golf adds Rebeca Fernandez from Spain
STEPHENVILLE, Texas — There’s a new addition to the Tarleton women’s golf team, and she’s coming to Stephenville from Marbella, Spain.
Rebeca Fernandez joins the Texans from Colegio Leones, becoming the eighth member on the roster and the first signing for 2022-23.
“I am very enthusiastic about Rebeca, she comes from a top center in Spain where she had the opportunity to grow as a player and also academically,” the head coach said. Isabelle Jiménez mentioned. “She’s used to this college routine where you’re away from home and you have to give your best on and off the course. She’s going to bring us consistency and playing experience, which is needed at this level, especially in a conference like WAC, and I can’t wait to get the fall season started and see it succeed here at Tarleton.
