Whatโs on our radar: Embassies you can visit anytime
Everyone is excited about the embassy tour around the world and the EU Open Day, but did you know that there are embassies that open their doors all year round?
- Embassy of Sweden. The Swedish Embassy is open to the public and makes a great addition to a day out in Georgetown. They currently have a nice exhibition of indigenous artists called โArctic Highwaysโ and a small library for children.
- Spanish Embassy Culture Office. Housed in the former residence of the Spanish Ambassador, the office hosts a variety of exhibitions, films and outdoor activities. This Friday, enjoy a gift of book and rose as part of the celebration of World Book Day and Earth Day.
- French Embassy. The French Embassy not only often hosts film series, but also festivals with a variety of collaborators. At the end of this month there will be DC Chocolate Festival.
- Embassy of the Czech Republic. The Embassy of the Czech Republic hosts a variety of concerts, book conferences and film screenings. Next week they will screen the film โChickens, the virus and us.โ
