JUANMA MORENO, President of the Junta de Andalucia tweeted his support for the use of two Andalusian military bases to house Afghan refugees

Juanma Moreno, the president of the Junta de Andalucia, took advantage of his Twitter account this Monday, August 23 to recognize the relationship between Spain and the United States, which was formed by an agreement for the use of the American bases of Frontera moron in the province of Seville, and Rota in the province of Cadiz, for the arrival of the Afghan population who want to leave the country.

Mr Moreno said of the collaboration, “the bases of Rota and Moron can be essential in this common goal and help save lives”, while adding: “It will be a source of pride”, the two military bases being located in the region of Andalusia.

“I hope that one day the Afghans fleeing the horror will be able to return to their country and regain their freedoms”, concluded the President of the Council, in his public statement on the arrival of Afghan refugees in the Andalusian bases of Moron and Rota, as reported diariodesevilla.es.
